I remain deeply concerned with the treatment of Falun Gong leaders and adherents in China. Such treatment is in direct contravention of provisions of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, signed by China in October 1999, but which it is yet to ratify.

It is hoped that the Chinese Authorities will take note of international concern in this area.
