On the morning of January 25, 2002, at about noon, Wuhan Intermediate People''s Court located in Machangjiao of Hankou City began a secret trial of practitioners.
This secret trial lasted a very short time. Those being tried in court were all practitioners that had been locked up in brainwashing classes in various districts of Wuhan. Relatives and lawyers were prohibited from participating in this trial. Many relatives knew nothing about the trial or the sentences. Zhou Xiaojun, male, Xu Jia (also named Xu Jiamei), female, and Yuan Qing, male, were sentenced to 4 years of imprisonment. Zhou Qun, female, Zhou Jinghua (also named Zhou Kehua) were sentenced to 3 years of imprisonment.
